Comfortable accommodation & Superb meals
We choose to homestay at Talau House, a short 10-15 minute walk from the main town of Neiafu. Our host Theresa looks after us with breakfasts and most dinners. She also provides the lunches we take aboard our vessels each day….known locally as the best in Vava’u.
Occasionally each group will eat at a restaurant in town for an evening meal (2 courses included) just to mix things up a little.
Talau house is expanding to have 8 guest rooms, 5 share bathrooms, a lounge area, a breezy deck, a “processing lab” and a lovely garden setting, spread over two adjacent properties.
Drawing on our 15 years of experience we have chosen to base ourselves in the main town of Neiafu for our photography tours. The logistics of whale swimming and photography don’t fit well with outer-island living, with its unreliable power for charging cameras and computers and a lack of fresh water for cleaning housings etc.
