Join cinematographer Abraham Joffe for six unforgettable days of in-water encounters with the humpback whales on your 8 night holiday in the Kingdom of Tonga’s famous Vava’u Group of Islands.
Your whale watching days will be spent with Abraham and our on-water crew of specialist Licensed Whale Swimming Skippers and Guides.
Your off-water time will be at Talau House, our home-stay style guesthouse in Nieafu, on the main island of Vava’u. Here you and Abraham will join with Darren Jew (lead photographer and founder of Whales Underwater) and his group, for editing and processing “lab-time”. Both Darren and Abraham will assist you to bring out the best in your work, with the aim that you get great captures of the whales and improve your work generally, from whatever level you may start.
Abraham Joffe is an internationally award-winning film-maker and is regarded as one of Australia’s top DSLR filmmakers. He has a great passion for storytelling and filmmaking in the real world.
He is also an experienced underwater cameraman, with several documentary films to his credit. Abraham has filmed across the Pacific, Africa, the Arctic, Asia, Antarctica, North America and every Australian state. Abe was recognised by Canon Australia for his cinematography, and was honoured with the title of Canon Master in 2013. He was an early adopter of 4K, taking his cameras to all seven continents. It has been a dream of his to produce television content for National Geographic, and Tales by Light is his break-through series. Abraham founded the Sydney-based production company Untitled Film Works in 2000. Untitled is highly regarded for their creative storytelling and currently produces much of the film content for Canon Australia.
2016 will be Abraham’s 4th season in Tonga, and his experience will be a truly valuable asset to your trip.
