Cat Trowbridge

Cat Trowbridge

Cat Trowbridge grew up in the beautiful English countryside but since the call of the ocean and the variety of stunning vistas drew her to Australia in 2008, she’s proudly called WA her home.

Her two greatest passions are travel and photography which when combined give Cat immense joy, capturing moments whilst exploring the beauty of the planet and searching for that next great image.

Cat’s passion for photography has grown over the last 15 years and it was just a few years ago that she took a big step and made a career change– leaving nursing behind to concentrate purely on photography.  She created www.fueyphotography.com.au in 2014 to share her nature, ocean and underwater images and her business has grown from there.

I spend at least 6 months a year up on Ningaloo Reef underwater capturing images of the whale sharks and frequently see the migrating humpback whales from the surface but I was desperate to be as up close to them as I am with the whale sharks.  I travelled to Tonga in October 2015 and fulfilled that desire having one of the most amazing experiences of my life with a very playful young calf. To have been able to watch the calf interact with us and then to be eyeballed by the calf and its huge majestic but gentle mother was surreal and an unforgettable moment that I will never forget … I can’t wait to return to repeat the breathtaking experience
